The Paphos State
Paphos is about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the house follow the signs to the tourist area. At the old harbour’ there you can see the remains of a roman Nobleman’s Villa with mosaics, also a small amphitheatre. There are several sea food restraints by the harbour and lots of places to have a drink or two also a number of boat day trips operate from here.
Going north from Paphos on the way to Coral Bay are the Tombs of the Kings, these consist of large blocks of stone over quite a few acres of land and involve a lot of walking.

Peyia Area
Peyia is a lively village, situated on the mountain-side between the sea and the rugged wilderness of Akamas Nature Reserve. It has a variety of excellent tavernas, a delicatessen, restaurants and a DVD rental shop, a bar and a small but well-stocked supermarket, in addition to banks and a pharmacy. It is a 5 minute drive to the high-life of Coral Bay, which has many bars and nightclubs as well as a popular sandy Blue Flag beach. To the north, 10 minutes away, lies the peaceful and breathtaking Akamas region - there are many miles of secluded walking and cycling tracks, through forests and in the mountains. There are well-signposted nature trails and a host of small village tavernas to enjoy. Peyia lies at the heart of the local wine-making region and visitors to the winery (free tasting!) are encouraged. Paphos Town, harbour, daily market and water park are a 25 minute drive away, as are the small fishing port of Latchi and the old town of Polis to the North

Coral Bay which is known as the Beverly Hills of Cyprus is a relatively small resort, but has plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and banks etc. It has the best sandy beach in the Paphos area, which is ideal for swimming and water sports or just soaking up the sun and relaxing at one of the friendly beach bars. Peyia is just a 5 minute drive from Coral Bay and situated in the foothills of Paphos, therefore affords breath-taking sea views. It is a typical yet very friendly Cypriot village, with narrow streets full of old and interesting houses, and still all the amenities that you could wish for, which include 2 supermarkets, 2 banks, a chemist, patisserie and plenty of taverns’, bars and restaurants, all very good quality and reasonably priced.
Peyia (Pegeia) Village is only a couple of minutes away from the villa. Here you will find banks, restaurants, taverns’, supermarkets and shops it is one of the most popular and picturesque villages in Cyprus, it has an attractive cistern-fountain in the middle of the square. Coral Bay Resort, with its great beaches (the best in Paphos), nightlife, bars restaurants and shops is less than a 5 minute drive from the villa. Paphos Town is only a fifteen minute drive away to the tourist area and Harbour. Polis and Latchi are about a fifteen minute drive from the villa
Paphos has a pretty harbour where one can still see the ancient Roman breakwater. Around the harbour are many tavernas and bars. There are many archaeological remains such as the House of Dionysos which has a fine mosaic floor. There are several old Greek churches, and The Tombs of the Kings, which are ancient burial places, are just outside the town. Sub-aqua diving is available from several companies along the sea front. Coral Bay is about 15 minutes' drive from Paphos in south-west Cyprus. It is renowned for having the best sandy beach on the island with safe swimming and many sport facilities. Tavernas, restaurants and bars serve fresh fish and typical Cypriot dishes such as kebabs, souvla and kleftiko.
